revolt, sustain, embrace defeat
with their lying mouths forced to live on their knees
always the last in line

all born with a lifetime to prove
that we're not the burden, the bless nor the foes
we are the living disease
content with every enemy
aren't you ashamed of what you've done?
what have you done?
wasting the progress that has been won
still backing the anchors of disgust
we pick betrayal over trust
our minds are fueled by hate
treachery is what we take for granted
so scared to face the truth
the warmth of lies is all we ever wanted
cherished the wrong things
and now we pay the price
Get off your knees get off your knees
you're digging a grave for you and me
easy to say
get on your feet where is your dignity?
I found a way to embrace life
I close my mouth and shut my eyes
Help is for the weak
We rather sit back and watch us drown in disbelief
we all lost hope
we picked it up
and then just threw it away.
the pessimists born in denial
black is all we see
the narcissism of an ugly truth
we're all failures born to run away.
